To insure or not to insure?
The benefits of home and car insurance are obvious, yet many people question whether they really need removal insurance.

INSURANCE
If an item is lost or damaged, our Carriers Legal Liability insurance covers you for loss or damage up to the 'Market value' of the item. In the case of irreparable damage - our insurer will use what that item sells for on like Marketplace and EBay taking into account depreciation ie condition due to age, and wear and tear.
PREMIUM INSURANCE COVER
There is an option available for those who want ‘new for old’ in the case of irreparable damage occurring to an item. The benefit is that the owner of the goods nominates the value of the item on the Insurance Declaration and pays the insurance premium on that amount. That then becomes the reference for assessment if a claim is made. For example - if you declare the value of a TV you bought for $3,000 on the Insurance Declaration Form, then in the case of loss or damage 'beyond repair', you would receive up to $3,000 for the same make and model brand new. This is in comparison to the Carriers Legal Liability cover which would only pay the depreciated ‘Marketplace’ value which may be 1/10 of the price it would be to buy a brand new replacement. Gosford Furniture Removals is an accredited member of AFRA and as such is able to offer this premium insurance cover.
"It is better to be safe than sorry. Insurance is an important part of any move involving your worldly possessions. Some factors will always remain beyond the control of even the most dedicated and careful removalists".
