| THE DAY AFTER Use your Removal notebook to unpack the boxes either on a ‘need first’ basis or room by room. Open the tape by cutting with the carton cutter or stanley knife. As you empty the boxes, flatten them and store neatly in a dry place where they can be collected later or dropped back to our depot. The paper can go into your recycling bin or packed into a box and sent back along with the flattened cartons. Please ensure only clean butcher’s paper is returned to the box. Remember the rule, “slow and steady wins the race”. Systematically go through each room and unpack the cartons – the most necessary first. If you have offers of help, have helpers unpack the boxes while you place the items where you want them. Finally, remind yourself that this soon will pass and you will be able to enjoy your new home for a long time to come. All the best! |
