WHO ARE WE? Company History
Gosford Furniture Removals and Karis Removals are based on the NSW Central Coast, midway between Newcastle and Sydney, and have been operating for 30 years – since 1978.
Karis Removals and Storage had its beginnings, when Chris Coulson and his wife Karen owned a furniture store – Karis Furniture - specialising in quality leather lounges and dining suites. Customers were so impressed by Chris’ meticulous care when delivering their furniture, that when it came time for them to move house, they asked Chris to move their furniture rather than risk damaging it with an unknown removal company.
Good News Travels Fast
The requests increased, and the removals became a separate business. As the recommendations grew, so did the fleet and the team. In 1997, Chris further expanded the business by purchasing Gosford Furniture Freighters and Central Coast Carrying Company.
With a fleet of 10 vehicles and a staff of 24, Gosford Furniture Removals & Storage and Karis Removals have developed a strong reputation for meticulous care and service excellence. This is evidenced by the fact that 50% of the work is from repeat customers and referrals from satisfied clients.
